The Mezzacorona Group

Mezzacorona
Founded in 1904, Mezzacorona S.c.a. is the parent company of the Group. It is a cooperative company with about 1,600 winegrowing members and 2,800 hectares of vineyards in Trentino, with production oriented mainly toward white grape varieties (75%), as well as prized red grapes that are symbolic of the area. Specifically, the company holds leadership in the production of five varieties: Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer, Teroldego Rotaliano and Lagrein.
During all stages of the production cycle, Mezzacorona operates with the utmost respect for the environment and uses advanced technologies to ensure product excellence, reliability and sustainability.
In 2006, a fruit and territorial business was added, supplementing the Valdadige fruit warehouse and promoting the Valentina brand.
Thus began a relaunch of the sector, with the construction of modern and efficient infrastructures equipped with high-level technologies.

Nosio

Nosio S.p.a. is the Group's sub-holding company; it manages the marketing phase of Mezzacorona Group's products in more than 60 countries around the world, either directly or through its subsidiaries.
It owns two foreign companies, Prestige Wine Imports Corp. in the United States and Bavaria Wein Import Gmbh in Germanym which manage marketing and promotion of Mezzacorona Group's brands in their respective markets. In Italy, it controls two other enterprises in Sicily, Villa Albius and Solsicano, through which it directs the grape production and subsequent winemaking of the two estates.
It also oversees the bottling of still wines and the production of Rotari Trentodoc sparkling wines.
Nosio S.p.a. is controlled by Mezzacorona S.c.a., which holds 61% of the shares. The remaining 39% of ownership is divided among nearly 500 shareholders.

Prestige Wine Imports
Founded in 1985, Prestige Wine Imports Corp. is the New York-based company that manages the marketing and promotion of Mezzacorona Group products and brands in the United States.

Bavaria Wein Import
Valentina
Valentina represents our fruit and vegetable section. The brands that stand out in its production are mainly Valentina, the Trentino apple, and Mela di Campo, the first having joined the Legambiente campaign for Quality Italian Agriculture.
The entire production is obtained by following the rules of integrated cultivation, thanks to which it is possible to contain interventions on plants and ensure the fruits’ healthiness.
The Valentina Consortium holds the GLOBALG.A.P. Quality Certificates (worldwide agricultural standards). In addition, it is a Legambiente partner, among the most important Italian environmental associations: the genuineness of fruits is certified through the trademark and regular inspections.



Villa Albius

Villa Albius S.a.r.l. is one of two subsidiaries of Nosio S.p.a. in Sicily.
Formed in March 2003, it purchased a 621-hectare farm in the territory of Acate in the province of Ragusa. The estate is situated at an altitude of between 15 and 100 metres and enjoys the benefits of the sea, only three kilometers away.
The company is involved in the production of grapes, which include native grape varieties such as Nero d'Avola, Inzolia, Grillo and some international varieties such as Chardonnay and Syrah.
Turnover 2023/24: EUR 8 million.
Solsicano
As of September 2013, Solsicano S.a.r.l. - is the second subsidiary company of Nosio S.p.a. in Sicily. It manages Feudo Arancio, a company located in Sambuca di Sicilia (AG), consisting of 280 hectares of land planted with vineyards and olive groves. It also has modern technology and winemaking facilities.
International and native grape varieties are grown; the main varieties are: Chardonnay, Nero d'Avola, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Grillo and Sauvignon Blanc.
Turnover 2023/24: EUR 4 million.
